ABOUT FREE MANIFESTA
Over 225 artists & groups participated in free public art projects organized by Sal Randolph throughout the period 24 May through 25 August, 2002 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany as part of The European Biennial of Contemporary Art.
FREE MNAIFESTA events and projects took place all over the city, as well as through the broadcast airwaves, telephone and mail systems and on the internet.

INTERACTIVE MIND MAPPING by EVA STROHMEIER
‘Interactive Mind Mapping’ consisted of several word diagrams that were started throughout Frankfurt on public billboard sites, chalk panels and on the outside walls of the Free Manifesta headquarters. Pens were available and people were encouraged to add their own thoughts and associations to the word diagrams. Information was not locked down to a linear format, instead new connections were drawn out by linking words and phrases to one another. A web of communal thoughts and associations around given themes/key words related to the body was created.
